Matching Gifts
Many employers will match charitable gifts made by their employees. These matching gifts may double the size of your gift to the school. You will be recognized at the level of your personal gift plus your company’s matching gift.
Inquire with your employer’s Human Resources department to see if the company matches giving. If so, you will need to initiate the process there and we will confirm gift receipt to finalize the process.

IRA Charitable Rollover
The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows individuals who have reached age 70½ to donate up to $108,000 to charitable organizations directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA), without treating the distribution as taxable income.

General Endowment Fund/Memorial Gifts
The Valwood Endowment Fund is an investment fund where the principal amount of gifts are kept invested in perpetuity so that the fund grows over time. The Valwood Finance Committee decides how much investment income may be used based on an average of five years investment income. The funds removed provide assistance with operations of the school and the amount removed has stayed at the same flat amount each year which has allowed the fund to grow beyond donations.
Gifts to the Valwood Endowment Fund will provide support for the school forever. Gifts can be made as a memorial or honorarium and the family of those being honored will receive a gift acknowledgement. As with all donations, the gifts are tax deductible.
