Valwood volleyball standout Erin Moss was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Under Armour girls high school All-America third team Wednesday.
“I’m so humbled to even be considered for this recognition knowing that Under Armour chose me out of the thousands of players across the country,” said Moss, a Georgia Tech commit. “This recognition is only a reflection of the great influences of my coaches, the support of my family and the grace of God.”
Moss was selected out of a record 793 nominations submitted through AVCA and MaxPreps.
Requirements for nomination were that the student-athlete be in her senior year of high school, that she be nominated by her high school coach, that her coach be a member of the AVCA and that her individual season statistics against all opponents for the entire season be entered into MaxPreps, a free service that aggregates and distributes data on high school sports, according to the AVCA.
