Valwood head volleyball coach Val Gallahan was named the GISA Volleyball Coach of the Year by the GISA Coaches Association on Monday.
Gallahan led the Valiants to the GISA Class 3A State Championship last season, defeating Dominion Christian 3-1 Oct. 10, 2020. The Valiants posted a 20-5 record overall and ended the season on a four-game winning streak.
