The Valwood varsity golf team won the Region 3-3A Tournament on Monday at the Valdosta Country Club to advance to the state golf tournament.
The Valiants carded a combined score of 310 to take first place, followed by Brookwood School with a 312 and Deerfield Windsor with a 317.
Parker Highsmith paced Valwood with an even round of 72 to earn low medalist for the tournament. Teammate Payne Elkins was also selected to the all-tournament team after hitting 76.
Avi Patel and Tyler Sweat each posted rounds of 81 for the Valiants.
Valwood will compete in the GISA state golf tournament at Sapelo Hammack Golf Club next Monday.
