The K-Kids Club organized a great community service project that will ultimately affect people around the world – literally!
Raising over $850 from the lower school dance, the Valwood K-Kids Club partnered with Heifer International to purchase animals that will be given to needy families and communities around the globe. The organization will take the animals that Valwood purchased, and not only give them to the families, but also teach them how to take care of and benefit from the animals.
And after much discussion, all the lower school classes voted to buy 1 sheep, 1 pig, 1 goat, 20 flocks of chickens, and 3 sets of honeybees!
Congrats to the K-Kids Club, all the lower school students and the Heifer International Organization on a job well done!!
