Valwood senior Mary Kate Crump has been chosen to participate in Union University's Rising Senior Program. Union University, located in Jackson Tennessee is a private, four-year, coeducational liberal arts-based university offering bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees. The four week long summer program is designed for outstanding high school students who have completed their junior year and want to experience a taste of college life. This intensive summer program allows students the opportunity to earn up to 7 semester hours of college credit for core curriculum classes. Students who attend the program experience a strong sense of community and a commitment to academic excellence. Mary Kate is the daughter of Don and Karen Crump of Hahira.
