Valwood's One Act Play team performs a full length play in less than 55 minutes competitively against other Georgia Independent School Association schools. Student actors learn about stage presence, blocking, character, vocal techniques, and focus. Students can also be involved by being a part of the technical crew, or as a student designer. The play is announced early in the school year and all eighth through twefth grade students are welcome to audition. Auditions are held in early September. Lindsay Herring, Valwood's Drama teacher, directs the One Act play.
