Varsity Soccer Concludes Spring Training
May 18, 2004

Valwood School's Varsity Soccer Team completed Spring Training on Thursday, May 13. Following two weeks of strenuous practice, the players scrimmaged with former Valwood players including the four seniors who are graduating this year, as well as a few players from the girls' team and the two coaches. The boys' won the scrimmage 5-3 in a tightly contested match. With all players returning, the boys' team expects to build on last season's close playoff loss and follow the girls' team with a first round playoff win as well. The team faces an extremely tough schedule including their first game of the year against 3A power Deerfield-Windsor. The tough early schedule hopes to prepare the team for their region matches with Brookwood and defending region champion Georgia Christian. Click here for the fall soccer schedule. More photos here.
