Nothing can compare to a cold glass of lemonade on a hot Saturday afternoon, especially when it is served by two young ladies with huge hearts.  Twins, Ansley and Clare Nijem wanted to do something to raise money to help their young friend who is fighting leukemia and Turner 's Syndrome. They decided to open a lemonade stand and sell the refreshing drinks from their front yard. 

With their proceeds in hand, Ansley and Clare stopped by Mrs. Elliott's desk in the Lower School office at Valwood. There, they placed the money in a bucket designated for donations for their friend.

The foundations of strong character are an integral part of the curriculum at Valwood.  Ansley and Clare, students in Mrs. Rasmussen's second grade class, have learned the lessons well. The girls are the daughters of Tommy and Debbie Nijem.
