A recent Valwood graduate, a first semester freshman in the Honors Program at the University of Georgia,  a student lacking only a few hours for classification as a sophomore and a recipient of an invitation to join an unusual chemistry class of approximately 30 students - this is Lindsey Megow's story.

"The Chemistry of Chocolate" - did it ever occur to her that this class would be included in her fall schedule at UGA?  Only a select few were chosen and no doubt, Lindsey's long hours studying for Advanced Placement courses and the opportunities afforded her by a small independent school have come to fruition.  

Valwood graduates like Lindsey are finding that their experiences at colleges and universities are greatly enhanced by their experiences here.  Valwood's small classes allow students daily and personal interaction with their teachers, making it easy for graduates to approach college professors with questions or concerns. Their study skills, sense of personal responsibility and consideration for others set them apart.
