The Valiant Club is an integral part of our athletic program at Valwood School.
The mission of the Valiant Club is to support athletics at Valwood School as requested by the Athletic Director and Headmaster. Our membership consists of supporters of Valwood School athletics who pay annual membership dues, and who receive passes which allow admission for each member and the member's family to regular season home games of all sports.
Each year we have three fundraisers; The Reverse Car Auction, program ad sales, and memberships. If we exceed our budgeted goal for these fundraisers, the Valiant Club Board will decide what to do with the overage based on recommendations from the Athletic Director and the Headmaster.
Each sport's representative acts as a liaison between their sport's coach and the parents. Their job is to help organize the parents to provide help for team meals, game day support, socials, promotional paraphernalia, etc. For example, they can organize the purchase of items like sport specific stickers, t-shirts, or car tags through the bookstore for the players and parents of their sport, or get parent volunteers to feed the team before or after the game. They can also help arrange for gatekeepers, concession workers or transportation to out of town games. Each representative should call a pre-season parent meeting to gather ideas, organize the group for the upcoming season, and to have parents join the Valiant Club.
As the Valiant Club is of great importance to our athletic program, we would like to see 100% membership participation from the parents of each sport. We are also going to be focusing on ways to increase attendance at all athletic events, and will work toward implementing ideas to make our program better.
