Georgia College Information

  • All students should have a www.GAcollege411.org account. The College Guidance Office works with students in 8th grade "Transitions" course to get the account set up, but students and parents may choose to open an account on their own.
  • Parents and students should explore the site to discover all of the great resources it provides, most especially the information regarding the HOPE Scholarship, FAFSA and other financial aid programs.

In addition, this is the site from which all online applications to colleges in the University System of Georgia (see link below) originate.

The Common Application Online

  • Over 350 colleges and universities throughout the country, primarily highly selective schools, utilize the Common Application.
  • Students complete the Common App just once, then submit it, along with any supplemental materials such as essays, to all of their prospective schools.

Check with the college/university or in Naviance Family Connection to see if the Common App is accepted or required.

The University System of Georgia

This site provides a wealth information on the system, as well as on the various universities, junior and technical colleges within the USG.
