Recipients of the Georgia Power Good Citizenship Awards were announced recently at Valwood's
Lower School Friday Flag program.  Mr. Rick Green of Georgia Power presented the awards to the students who were chosen by their teachers.  The awards are given to students exhibiting character traits such as honesty, integrity, empathy for fellow students and respect for teachers and one another.

Award recipients by grade:

First Grade - Parker Highsmith, Ellie Smith and Alexandra Peeples
Second Grade - Cole Broomberg and Jarrett Broome
Third Grade - Mei Hornkohl, William Langdale, Nicole Manwell and Bo Schramm
Fourth Grade - Chandler Call, Hope Hathcock, Addison LeBoutillier and William Pegg
Fifth Grade - Hank Evans, Hannah Ferrell, Megan Smith and Collin Vandemark
