Valwood's eighth grade etiquette class celebrated the end of the first semester with a luncheon on Thursday, January 21.  Guests joining the students were Headmaster Mr. Cobb Atkinson, Middle School Dean Mr. Jay Riven and Ms. Vallye Blanton Middle School English and History teacher.  A formal four course meal offered the students the opportunity to practice general dining and social etiquette skills.  

Topics covered in the etiquette course included greetings and introductions, shaking hands, thank you notes, electronic etiquette, appropriate attire for different occasions and many other important social skills.  The course prepares the students for social settings and business functions they will experience both now and in the future.
