The Valwood Valiant Club will host the annual Reverse Car Auction on Saturday, January 23rd in the Rodgers Performance Hall at the Godwin Holmes Arts Center.
The auction supports the physical education and athletic programs of grades Pre-K through 12. A $150 ticket includes admission, dinner for two, and a chance to win a new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, a Gift Certificate for the trip of your dreams worth $15,000 from Executive Travel, or $15,000 cash.
A New York strip steak dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. The auction will begin at 7:00. As the evening progresses, ticket numbers are eliminated down to the lucky winner. Additional Valwood tickets are auctioned off during the evening, so that participants may be "out" one minute and back "in" the next! Previously eliminated tickets may be reinstated. If a participant holds a "live" ticket, it may be offered for auction and make money for the individual and Valwood athletics. Two Rebound Cards will also be auctioned during the evening.
In a Second Chance Drawing held at the end of the auction, one eliminated ticket will be pulled, and the owner of the ticket will receive $1,000. The ticket owner must be present to win. No proxies are allowed. Drawing will continue until the $1,000 is awarded.
