Today, the Valwood Middle School was privileged to have Senator Tim Golden visit as the guest speaker for the Wednesday Morning Speaker Series, held each week in the Godwin Holmes Arts Center.  The Series hosts speakers who come and share with the middle school students from their areas of expertise.  This year's speakers have included local doctors, ministers, firemen, a federal probation officer, as well as several parents and other community individuals.  The speakers hope to enlighten the students as to things that go on in our community as well as serving to motivate the students in areas such as goal setting and volunteerism.  Pictured here from left to right: Lisa Garcia, Haley Flythe, Hannah Hornsby, Senator Tim Golden, Danielle Shackelford, Hannah Waller, Sabrina Hoy, Amanda Eaves, Dakota Runnels
